v1.23 — Four tongues, and a life you can carry
July 23, 2026 · Fallowborn devlog
The game speaks four new tongues
Open Settings and Fallowborn will carry its interface, its core stories, and every new Chronicle entry in French, German, Italian, or Spanish. It is an AI Preview, and honest about it: the translation is machine-made, proper names keep their own spelling, mod text stays in whatever tongue the modder wrote it, prose already sealed into an old save stays as it was first written, and the Changelog may still answer in English. Switch whenever you like — the world underneath is the same 867 either way. If a line reads oddly, that is exactly the sort of thing the new bug button below was built to carry back to us.
A life you can carry
A dynasty used to live and die inside one browser on one device — and some browsers, iPhone Safari worst among them, quietly empty their storage between visits and take your whole line with them. No more silent graves. Every save and load dialog now carries 📤 Export and 📥 Import: turn any life into a block of text you can drop into a note, an email, a message to yourself — and paste back on another phone, another laptop, or the same one after the browser has forgotten. And when storage is being blocked outright, the game now says so to your face, instead of letting a hundred years vanish without a word.
Tell us what broke
The ☰ menu gains 🐞 Report a bug. Say what went wrong — or what you wish the game did — and it hands you a ready-made report: your words, plus the version, your start seed, and your current life as save text, copied in a single tap. Paste it on Discord, into an email, or as a GitHub issue. A bug that arrives with the seed and the save attached is a bug we can stand inside and reproduce, instead of guessing at.
Small print:
- Browser tabs and iOS home-screen shortcuts now wear a Fallowborn crest, so the game is easy to pick out of a wall of open pages.
